The Dream State

My Love, if you knew 

You probably do

Not a second goes by

Without dreaming of you

How are you with me

In every breath, every blink,

Every arcminute of the Moon

Every space between?

I live every motion steadfast and true

Like you are living each motion too

The motions are not things I simply go through

My Love, I share them with you

You are there and I am here

And somehow you are here with me

I see the world through your eyes

I speak to you and hear your voice

Perpetual moontide

The action of imagining you touching me

And the action of you really touching me

Are two actions that differ little

When experienced within in the dream state

And I’m always dreaming
